Re: How to find reason for mailbox locking?
Is the account locking due to a pop lock? If so, then it is because Outlook (or email client) cancels or stops the communication before the all-clear was sent. Done enough times, your account does a pop lock. The server will automatically release it after an hour. Resolution, find out why the email programs keeps stopping the communication with the mail server.
Is the account locking due to people attempting to gain unauthorized (brute force) access? If so, go through the logs to find out the IP address. Once discovered, block the IP address.
