I cant seem to get the Beta MTA filter installed correctly, I would really
like to take a look at it. If anyone had been succesful in the install and
can share details that would be great..

Thanx

I followed the instructions as listed and the install was fine.

The operation of the filter however leaves something to be desired. I put on two filters, one for spam words and one for bad attachments, and the spam word filter appeared to take out every email that went through the system (even ones in a different language to the spam filter words) so I had to disable it. The attachmnet filter however is working great.

I'm looking for a solution that will strip off attachments of my choice (.exe, .com etc...) but not the message itself. Will this mta filter work?

I installed http://www.publicplanet.com/mefilter and so far so good. The install is manual and the config docs are sparce but it's free and seems to be working fine.
