Cloudflare tunnel

Post by jreiter2023 »

Just curious if anyone has gotten Mail Enable to work behind a Cloudflare tunnel? I have several other webservers behind a cloudflare tunnel and it works fine.

I can't get mail enable to work. I get 404 errors trying to access anything. I feel like it has to do with the \MEWebmail that mail enable wants on the domain name.

For webmail the \mewebmail is a virtual directory if you are running it under another site. But you can just add host headers to the IIS site "MailEnable Webmail" to access webmail as mail.example.com. The webmail runs as an IIS site or virtual directory, we don't do anything odd with the URL handling. Does it work ok without Cloudflare? If so then likely the tunnel configuration is the problem.

****update***** I think I have it working correctly now. Still testing.

Hi,

Yes it works fine without Cloudflare.

I did eventually get Cloudflare to work for the Webmail virtual directory. I was missing a default address for the webserver for webmail virtual directory.

Type :https
IP address: All unassigned
Port: 443
Hostname: blank
Set the SSL cert

As soon as I did that, active sync broke because I needed a default address for that directory too and you can't bind both to the same default address.

Tried to add a screenshot. Won't let me because board quota has been reached.

I couldn't figure out how to proceed after that.
