MailEnable and CDONTS Question

Post by photoshop_god »

Hi,

I am currently running Mailenable as my main mail server. It runs fine. I have an application that requires CDONTS as it mail comp. It uses dll's to process e-mail. MailEnable does not.

My question is, has anyone set up there mail server with mailenable being the primairy mail client and CDONTS being the second mail client?

All I need is CDONTS to send e-mail from this app not receive.

* How easy is it
* Can it be done
* Are there any problems

I still need mailenables comp to work.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Mail Enable AND CDONTS are not mail clients

Mail Enable = Email Server(s) Suite

CDONTS = Programmatic sending of email

independant of each other.. if you are using IIS 6 and the .Net Framework you dont use CDONTS.. you use System.Web.Mail

Hi,

I miss spoke when I said client. All I want to do is run both ME and CDONTS. I want to leave mailenble alone and set up CDONTS.

I'm just looking for some guidance before I attempt to set up CDONTS.

The servers running IIS 5.

Thanks for your quick response.
