Missing Webmail settings in MailEnable Management Console

Post by haldrich98 »

I was trying to follow these steps from the documentation:
6.7.4 Configuring Web Mail for Multiple Sites
MailEnable allows you to configure Web Mail for each IIS web site hosted on your server. To enable Web Mail on multiple web sites on your server, a virtual directory must be created for each Web Site.

A utility that does this can be found in the MailEnable Administration program in the following location:

MailEnable Management |Servers| localhost | Services | WebMail | Properties | General.
When I go to the location shown, I have no WebMail service listed.
Webmail IS installed and working just fine.

How do I get it to show up again? It was there at some point in the past.

Thanks!

Hi,

Try and rebuild the .MSC file using the instructions in the following KB article to see it fixes the problem:

I tried that, but it still doesn't add it in.
I don't get any errors (like the KB mentions), it is just missing that section.

Hi,

Have you checked if the extension is registered? You can check this by navigating in the MMC to File>Add remove snap-ins>Extensions and select Mailenable Management in the snap ins dropdown menu and check to see if the webmail service is in the list and checked.

Have you tried runniong the MeInstaller utility and running the option to re-register the MMC components.

Yes, I tried both of those things.
I can get "most" of the Admin Utility, just not the section for configuring webmail...
