I have successfully set up 3 different Post Offices for 3 different domain names and have updated the MX records for each to point to the one IP Address of my server.
THIS IS MY DILEMA...
I can only get one to work with Outlook XP at a time. The other two domains recieve mail but when I try to log into them I recieve this error:
Task 'mail.xxxxx.xxx - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your username and password your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server responded: -ERR Unable to log on'
When I try to go to E-mail accounts and test out each of the two this is what I get:
-Establish network connection...Completed
-Find outgoing mail server (SMTP)...Completed
-Find incoming mail server (POP3)...Completed
-Log onto incoming mail server (POP3)...Failed
-Send test e-mail message...Completed
It seems to be having problems logging into the incoming mail server...but why?
I would appreciate any help that anyone can provide me to get this going.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!

check that you are using the full email address for the logon username.
since you are using the one IP address, it doesn't know which post office you wish to connect to.
Example:
username: me@mail.com
Password: xxxxx
since you are using the one IP address, it doesn't know which post office you wish to connect to.
Example:
username: me@mail.com
Password: xxxxx
THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Thank you sososososososo much!!!
It all works now...I don't know why I didn't think of that...

I am having a dilema setting up 2 domains.
I have not found where I can set up 2 smtp servers. Can someone help me set up the 2 domains. I have the DNS setup. I am able to send from both accounts, but cannot receive mail into the 2nd domain, which is not set as default. When I do send and receive, I get message saying, Password could not be sent, mail server responed, unable to log on.
I have the mx record of the 2nd domain pointing to the first domain.
2nddomain.com pref 10 pointing to mail.1stdomain.com
Is this correct? Any ideas for an apparent noob with Mail enable and DNS? Thanks in advance.

Re: Multiple Domain Names and Post Office problems...
Hi Dear,
I have created two post offices and added domain abc.com in postoffice1 and xyz.com in postoffice2.
The default post office is postoffice1. I can send the emails from both domains i.e. smptp service works fine for both but the email configured to my second postoffice2 is not being received. However I can receive emails for domain under postoffice1.
I am pointing MX record to postoffice1 i.e. mail.abc.com
Please help.
