I'm getting message delays trying to send to certain domains like yahoo.
Message is waiting at ottawaweb.ca for delivery to mx4.mail.yahoo.com.
The message will be retried for another 33 hours.
Reason:
Reason Code: SMTP Outbound - General Error
Error Number: 0
I've gone into the logs on the server
I've got some MX errors (mostly spam sites), some error 10038 and some error 10060.
I used to be able to send to yahoo.

Check out your server IP against spam lists, etc...
Also, stop and then restart your SMTP service, and then try to resend these messages. If they send properly, let me know because I'm having an issue with this right now.

Server is not on spam lists and has been restarted
My server is not on any spam lists, has been restarted and can send to other sites and used to be able to send to yahoo before. I just tested to yahoo on another server, so it's not that yahoo is rejecting everything, just everything from my mailenable server (well not rejected exactly, just delays over and over again)

2. Enter CMD and then press OK
3. Type: nslookup
-Type: set type=mx
-Type: yahoo.com
4. Find the mail servers yahoo uses and write them down
5. Type: Exit (To exit from nslookup)
6. At the command promt type:
telnet mailserveraddress 25
This will test the SMTP connection to yahoo.
I ran a test to: 67.27.113.19
Results:
220 mta211.mail.re2.yahoo.com ESMTP YSmtp service ready
See what kind of results you come up with. The above is how you test connections to SMTP servers.

I should have done that check, but it didn't occur to me since this is not a new setup.
Yahoo is blocking my mail and by looking up the error message, apparently they think my system is an open relay or an open proxy (it's neither). I've filled out their forms and hopefully they will fix it.
I'm not sure how I would have gotten on that list.

Your IP is more than likely black listed then. Check http://www.dnsstuff.com

I am having this same problem, going on for about the last week or so. I've checked dnsstuff.com, and we're not on any spam blacklists, and I am able to successfully telnet to the Yahoo mail server. No dice.
My site is hosted at Server Beach - are any of you others that are having problems also hosted there? I just wonder if Yahoo is selectively delaying messages from Server Beach IP blocks, although from what I can tell there isn't a blacklist service reporting us to them.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Check your SMTP logs this will most likely have information and in many cases even a link to the Yahoo web site that informs you of your issue.
When you say your telnet result was "no response and no result" what exactly was the response? Is this only happening on yahoo or other domains? Do you have a PTR record associated with your IP, please see this article to find this out?

Check your logs the SMTP will be failing on the send for a reason, often there is more information in the logs.
If you have many redirections on your server that are going to Yahoo, I have seen where they have implemented a type of silent greylisting if a server is sending too much mail to them. The restart of the SMTP service would retry all the messages again.

I'm also having the same issues. I recently upgraded to Pro 1.7.
I have 5 domains and abou 50% of all emails sent by my customers bounce back saying they are delayed.
Diagnostics on my server shows everything passing.
I can translate all the trouble domains to IP with my DNS server.
Any ideas?

PS Some say General Error, some say 354, some say reason code 0. Wierd errors.

Please check your SMTP logs for further information why your sending is failing. Search in the logs for yahoo or an email address that you are aware of that is having troubles.
