Webmail/options/settings not saving after making changes

Post by cyberworldinc »

Hello there.

Running Enterprise 2.38.

An issue has popped up where after the user logs into their webmail, they go into options then select settings. they modify friendly name, check "Clear deleted items on logout" and put in a basic signature.

after hitting the update button and do anything else(IE: Check inbox or Logout or compose) it fails to save the settings.

thanks,

Hi,

I am unable to re-simulate the issue you have pointed out in webmail. Have you tired running the MailEnable diagnostic report for any obvious errors? Can you PM me and provide a test account experiencing the problems.

I'm not familar with version 2.38. Did you download a beta version of 2.38?

regards,

MailEnable Support.

thank you

Hello,

We are seeing this same issue and users are unable to save Auto Signatures (in this case) in Webmail.

Was wondering if there was any fix for this?

Best wishes.

I managed to find a fix for this.

c:\program files\mail enable\config\postoffices\ should contain a folder with your domain name as it's name. If not then you need to create it. With in that folder you should then create 5 folders...

ANNOTATIONS
GROUP
LISTS
MAILBOXES
RULES

and also a default.mai file which can be copied from another domain folder that already exists.

Once this is done you should be able to add and remove your sig in webmail.

I am sure there is a way to have these created automatically with the restore tool, but I have had problems with the restore tool in the past and only use it in emergencies.
