Returned email for all domains coming back to one email

Post by spokaneweb »

I've got 50 or so domains on my server using ME Pro 2.37 and whenever a message is returned as undeliverable, it comes to my inbox rather than going to the sender's inbox. Also, all of the undeliverable messages are being sent from my account. I can't see where to change that setting. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Currently we have some clients complaining that they are not getting notified when mail is undeliverable. Is there a way to make that mail just go back to the sender? I really don't want it!

Hi,

To change the system notification address you need to open the SMTP properties window and navigate to the "general" tab.

For your problems with bounce messages not being sent back to the sender, there was a problem within 2.37 where NDR messages were not being placed in the incorrect queue location. You can find a hotfix for this at the following link: http://www.mailenable.com/hotfix/ME-10030.EXE

Or alternatively upgrade to the latest version 2.38 located here: http://www.mailenable.com/mailenableprof.EXE

Ufff....I was just exposed to this malfunction - my SMTP folder on server is filled up with uncountable number of messages. Windows cannot even enumerate all of them, and I wait for 30 minutes when listing the folder, but it never ends... there must be hundreds of thousands NDR-s there...

I solved the issue by manually entering WinRAR command to MOVE all *.MAI files into RAR archive...but the process took more than 73 hours (on DualCore Xeon 2.8 GHz!! and with 4 GB RAM!!!).
Of course, I stopped all ME services while cleaning up this mess.
