Unread sent items?

Post by webshaun »

Random unread "sent" items appear after restarting outlook. The sent messages also appear unread in webmail/imap/activesync but originate from MAPI connector. version - 7.06... mapi v 1.54

Hi,
The unread issue I believe has been fixed (and is addressed in the 7.07 kit - which will be posted today).

"I believe"? You don't sound very confident.

The reason for the hesitation has more to do with knowing whether the problem reported here matches the issue reported via the ticket system/issue register.

If they are guaranteed to be the same, then the answer would be definitive. I can tell you definitively that this issue appears as this in our register (and will appear the same in the release notes):
ISSUE: Changes to folder contents may unnecessarily set the a change flag file, potentially causing folders to be reindexed and resulting in flag loss and unnecessary replication).

It did not make it through the testing cycle. So it was not released. If you are pressured, then the links to solving the problem appear in this thread.

Now inbox messages aren't showing up as deleted and not being marked as read through the mapi connector on mobile/webmail.

Cant reproduce that behaviour sorry. There was an update to the MAPI client today, although I was not able to reproduce the behaviour you mention with either the 1.55 or 1.56 mapi clients.
