Hi,

Will need to know when the error occurs and what actions took place prior to the timeout. Does it occur on a specific message? Does it occur for all mailboxes? Does it occur only on specific browsers? Are there any Windows event log errors on the server related to the timeout?

Ian,
I don't have an answer to those questions. All I know is I received an email notification from the server and nothing was identifiable. I have not received another message since.

I just upgraded 3 servers (windows 2008 R2) to the most current and am getting this same report from one of the 3. I found this in the webserver log coinciding with the most recent error:

2014-06-24 13:43:23 69.56.157.26 POST /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync Cmd=Sync&User=USERNAME HERE&DeviceId=SEC1D00A32CB5EAC&DeviceType=SAMSUNGSMG900V 443 - 74.177.160.6 SAMSUNG-SM-G900V/101.40402 404 0 2 78

Active Sync is not configured on any of the servers.

It seems that the error might occur when server load (ME load) peaks.

MailEnable WebMail Responsiveness Error - Continues

Post by rfwilliams777 »

I have 8.52 Enterprise. It consistently happens every time I remote desktop into the server that I get this error. I do not get it at any other time. I have traced it to only happening at this time.

I'm having the same issue, when logging in. I have another thread opened about it but no real reply from ME regarding this issue.

We may be on to something here. People that are having this problem are you using the Remote Desktop Connection to connect to the server hosting the MailEanable application?

We found that using Remote Desktop Connection it connect to our server (that acts as our MailEnable server). Within a couple of minutes we get two emails with the
MailEnable WebMail Responsiveness email with the HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request as the one line.

Would be interesting to see if other errors are caused by this as well and ours is the HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request?

Hi,

The problem is that the alert tool uses the MailEnable Web mail host header binding of "mewebmail.localhost" to check the status of the site. If this does not exist or is not bound to 127.0.0.1 then it will report the notifications you are seeing.

Can you please change the method in which this is checked so it doesn't rely on such an open, unnecessary binding? Seems like more of a bug than a feature.

I added that binding but it didn't fix the issue.
