SUMMARY
How to block specific domains.
DETAIL
MailEnable can block a domain from sending to a specified domain. This is done through the Domain > Properties window, accessible through the MailEnable Administration Program. When viewing domain properties, click the Blacklist tab and enter the domains to block. It is not possible to block specified domains for the whole server.
The domain blocking works on the envelope information, which may not match the
contents of the email. This envelope information can be seen in the SMTP
logs.
As spammers can change the contents and
envelope information, this is not a reliable means of reducing spam. Using the
Access Control option in the SMTP options can specify an IP address, which is
more reliable. Review the SMTP Activity or W3C logs to find the IP address of
the connection.
