SYMPTOM
When accessing web mail the error "The operation requested by the application is not allowed as the object is closed" is displayed.CAUSE
This error can occur on a server with Coldfusion 4.5 installed. Coldfusion has a known problem with corrupting the Microsoft MDAC Registry keys (which MailEnable requires to be working).
RESOLUTION
A reinstall of MDAC does not resolve the issue. Their solution requires a reinstall of the operating system. Macromedia note that this is fixed in Coldfusion 5.0.
