Web mail is slow when downloading attachments. However, when using web mail locally (on the server) or using a mail client, (e.g. Outlook) attachments download normally.
This change outlined below will have already been made on some versions of MailEnable. If this is not the case, follow these steps to resolve the issue.
1. Open the following file in Notepad: Mail Enable\BIN\WebMail\base\enterprise\lang\EN\Forms\MAI\GetAttachment.asp
2. Remove or comment out the line (or change the
false to true):
Response.Buffer = false
(To comment out just add an apostrophe in the front, i.e.:'Response.Buffer = false)
3. Save the file and retry
