Web mail and web administration are not working on a Windows x64 bit OS.

Error example:  - MailEnable WebMail - MTS/COM+ MEWebMail.Features Error (-2147221005) 006~ASP 0177~Server.CreateObject Failed~800401f3.

CAUSE

The basic .NET package has problems running some ASP scripts used in the web mail and web administration components.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, it is necessary to install the .NET framework services. For the x64 edition of Windows, it is necessary to install a particular version. This version can be downloaded from Microsoft's web site here.
