SYMPTOMS

Files with extended characters in their filename do not retain their filename when downloaded from web mail using the Safari browser.

CAUSE

This is a known bug in Safari.

RESOLUTION

The Safari web browser does not handle extended charactersets in filenames for downloads.

WORKAROUND

To workaround this problem, rename the files after download.
