SYMPTOMS

There are no graphics show on the webmail login screen (users may see a red cross indicating the images cannot be accessed). Also, users may not be able to log into webmail.

CAUSE

IIS Static Content not enabled in IIS. When this is disabled, IIS is not able to deliver static content such as images and Javascript files, which the webmail requires.

RESOLUTION

Under the web server roles under Common HTTP Features, ensure that the "Static Content" role service is installed.
