Configuring a RTL language for webmail interface

SUMMARY

MailEnable webmail does not fully support RTL languages, but you are able to enable preliminary support for this through editing the Windows registry.

DETAIL

In order to set a language to be RTL compatible, you need to add a registry key under the following branch:

For 32bit Windows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mail Enable\Mail Enable\Services\Webmail\Options

For 64bit Windows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Mail Enable\Mail Enable\Services\Webmail\Options

"RTL Languages" is a string value that needs to be created which has as the content the RTL languages (abbreviated, such as ar) comma separated. You will also need to create a new language file for webmail that matches the language you want RTL. Steps to create a language are:

1) In the Mail Enable\bin directory, copy the file WebMail-Mondo.net-tokens-en.map and have it named WebMail-Mondo.net-tokens-xx.map (where xx is the 2 character language code for the new language you are creating).
2) Open this file in Notepad or other editor and edit the English translations, saving when done
3) Open the LANGUAGES.TAB file in the Mail Enable\bin directory and add a new line to the end of it, like the following
(the [tab] means the Tab character):

xx[tab]Language
