Invalid PATH Environment Variable error reported in diagnostic utility
SYMPTOMS
MailEnable's Diagnostic Utility may report the following
error:
Invalid - Please ensure the MailEnable BIN directory is in your
PATH statement
CAUSE
Incorrect or missing path for MailEnable bin/bin64 folders in the PATH
environment variable.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:
Go to Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Computer
Management.
The Computer Management applet should now be loaded.
Right click on Computer Management (Local) and select Properties.
Then click on the Advanced tab. Click on the Environment Variables button.
In the System Variables list, scroll down until you find the "Path"
environment variable, then highlight it and click Edit.
The Path environment variable should contain a semi-colon delimited list of
directory names.
Ensure that that the short path (8.3) equivalent of C:\Program Files
(x86)\Mail Enable\Bin or its equivalent (depending on the installation path
appears in this list).
Also ensure that the C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\Bin64 is in the
list. If bin64 is not in the PATH variable, then webmail may be affected.
Accept all changes and close the Computer Management Applet.
A reboot of the server is required for any changes to take
effect.
